I have always loved and written poetry. Now, with one year remaining before semi-retirement, when I shall be teaching only Philosophy, I wish to devote my time to crafting poems.
I feel greatly supported in this: by my family, my studies on the MA Creative Writing Programme at Manchester Metropolitan University, by the incentive and support given by the Geneva Writers’ Group – and now by the Léman Poets.
So hopefully, I have the answer to that old song: 'What are you doing the rest of your life?'
Over forty years of full-time teaching have brought me from my home-town, Manchester, to the Liverpool dockland area and then, in 1975 to Geneva, where I now teach English at the Ecole Moser in Chêne- Bougeries.
