The Léman Poetry Workshop (LPW) was founded by award-winning poet Brian Hughes and Karen Mason in 1999. It has been - and remains - a powerful means for poets living along the lake from Lausanne to Geneva to come together regularly to review each other's work and to provide precious support to continue writing poems. Over the years, membership has changed as poets have come and gone. LPW currently has nine members and meets once a month.

LPW members are Adrienne Hahne, Alistair Scott, Beth Peoch, Lang-Hoan Pham, Jan Harrington, Karen McDermott, Keith Stimpson, Manolita Farolan and Mary Scheurer. These pages present selected poems by each of us...

As well as workshops...
In addition to monthly workshop sessions, LPW has published collections and organised poetry evenings:

  • Publications - in 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2008 and 2010, the group published collectons of poems.
  • Performance - in 2003, 2005, 2008, 2009 and 2010, the group organised poetry evenings, combining readings with live music, and has run three Open Mic evenings in downtown Geneva - with a fourth scheduled for May 2014.
